New temple presidents

Carmen and Robert B. Dahlgren

Robert B. Dahlgren, 70, La Crosse 1st Ward, Rochester Minnesota Stake, called as president of the new Bismarck North Dakota Temple. Pres. Dahlgren's wife, Carmen Lee Dahlgren, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Dahlgren, currently a counselor in the Chicago Illinois Temple presidency and a temple sealer, is a former stake president and counselor, regional welfare agent, district president, mission president's counselor, high councilor and branch president. He and his wife served in the Singapore Mission. A former game and wildlife biologist and wildlife research biologist, he received a bachelor's degree from South Dakota State Agricultural College, a master's from Utah State University, and Ph.D. from South Dakota State University. He was born in Walnut Grove, Minn., to Albert Leonard and Anna Carolina Land Dahlgren.

Sister Dahlgren, assistant matron in the Chicago Illinois Temple, is a former stake Relief Society president and counselor, stake Young Women president's counselor, ward Primary president, and seminary teacher. She was born in Hyde Park, Utah, to Preston Reeder and Lily Mae McQuarrie Lee. Parents of six children.

Dorothea and J. Lynn Shawcroft

J. Lynn Shawcroft, 70, Aspen Ward, Mesa Arizona Kimball East Stake, called as president of the new Guayaquil Ecuador Temple. His wife, Dorothea Thomas Shawcroft, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Shawcroft, a sealer in the Arizona Temple, is a former president of the Ecuador Guayaquil Mission, and has served as stake executive secretary, high councilor and branch president. He and his wife served in the Guatemala Central Mission. A semi-retired teacher at Mesa Community College, he received a M. Ed. degree from Adams State College in Colorado. He was born in La Jara, Colo., to Howard and Marvelle Reed Shawcroft.

Sister Shawcroft is a former stake Relief Society president, ward Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society president, and served with her husband in Ecuador and Guatemala. She received a bachelor's degree from BYU. She was born in Manassa, Colo., to Harold and Bertha Nielson Thomas. Parents of six children.

Frank E. and Jane Wagstaff

Frank Everton Wagstaff, 61, Belle Terre Ward, Spokane Washington East Stake, called as president of the new Spokane Washington Temple. Pres. Wagstaff's wife, Jane Devey Wagstaff, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Wagstaff served as president of the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission, regional representative, stake president, high councilor and bishop. He is a retired engineer and owner of a manufacturing business. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George B. and Laura Everton Wagstaff.

Sister Wagstaff is a former Relief Society president and counselor, Young Women president, ward activity committee chairman and served with her husband in the Philadelphia mission. She attended the University of Utah. She was born in American Fork, Utah, to Melvin and Zetta Fugate Devey. Parents of six children.
