Church News: About the cover

Despite the vast distances faced by members of the Bismarck North Dakota Temple District, more than one-third of the nearly 9,000 members attended the temple's dedication Sept. 19. The temple district comprises an area upwards of 200,000 square miles, and some members drove up to eight hours to attend one of the three dedicatory sessions. The temple was dedicated by President Gordon B. Hinckley, who made his first-ever visit to North Dakota. The report of the dedication begins on page 3.
