Eight new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. Here are their names and biographical information:
Kathleen and Allan Gene Austin
Allan Gene Austin, 63, Chapel Hill Ward, Durham North Carolina Stake; high councilor and institute teacher; former mission president's counselor, stake president's counselor, bishop's counselor, district president, branch president, and missionary and counselor to mission president in Argentine Mission; retired executive for Research Triangle Institute, received bachelor's degree in political science from Brigham Young University, and doctorate in public administration from New York University; born in Long Beach, Calif., to Marion John and Helen Dalley Austin; married Kathleen Elaine Kent; six children. She is a seminary teacher; former mission board Primary president, stake Primary president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, ward music director, Primary teacher, district Primary president, branch Primary president, branch music director, and branch Primary teacher; received bachelor's degree in French and English, and graduate studies degree in French from BYU; born in Aurora, Ill., to Norris Roscoe and Pansy Pearl Bolen Kent.
Sharon and Lynn Holt Blake
Lynn Holt Blake, 61, Mueller Park 7th Ward, Bountiful Utah Mueller Park Stake; high councilor; former stake president and counselor, bishop and counselor, and ward Aaronic Priesthood adviser; chief operating officer for Sorenson Vision; received bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from BYU, and master's and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering from University of Michigan; born in Ogden, Utah, to Loy Frank and Erma Holt Blake; married Sharon Hadfield; seven children. She is stake Relief Society counselor; former ward Relief Society president and counselor, ward Young Women counselor, and Sunday School teacher; received a degree in nursing from Weber College; born in Ogden, Utah, to Milton Albert and Opal Ortell Davis Hadfield.

Mark P. Durham, 48, Old Mill Ward, Salt Lake Butler Stake; priests quorum adviser, stake president's counselor; former high councilor, stake elders quorum president, bishop's counselor, and seminary teacher; president of Durham Consulting Corporation; received bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Utah; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wayne C. and Barbara Paulson Hatch Durham; married Mary Lucille Richards; seven children.
