May 11 Museum of Church History and Art: Book of Mormon Lecture Series; Glen M. Leonard (Director, Museum of Church History and Art), will speak on "Artists and the Book of Mormon: What They Have Done and What Could Yet Be Done," in the Museum Theater at 7 p.m. Free admission but seating is limited. This is a series of lectures that will conclude on June 1.
May 13 Temple Square Concert Series: The 40-voice Eleanor Kennard Chorale, led by its founding director, will offer a program of easy listening, ranging from sacred music and spirituals to the timeless favorites of Stephen Foster and Hoagy Carmichael. Located on Temple Square, the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. Free admission.
Through February 19, 2001 Museum of Church History and Art exhibit: "And We Lived After the Manner of Happiness: A Children's Exhibit for Families." Seventeen paintings and sculptures have been organized to encourage children and adults to talk about the artistic and spiritual ideals presented in the arts. Located at 45 North West Temple.
