May 18 — Museum of Church History and Art: Book of Mormon Lecture Series; John L. Sorenson (Professor Emeritus, BYU), will speak on "Visualizing Book of Mormon Life Through Images of Ancient America," in the Museum Theater at 7 p.m. Free admission but seating is limited. This is a series of lectures that will conclude on June 1.

May 19— Temple Square Concert Series: The American West Symphony, with Joel Rosenberg as music director and conductor, will present the Verdi Requiem at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. Free admission.

Through February 19, 2001 — Museum of Church History and Art exhibit: "And We Lived After the Manner of Happiness: A Children's Exhibit for Families." Seventeen paintings and sculptures have been organized to encourage children and adults to talk about the artistic and spiritual ideals presented in the arts. Located at 45 North West Temple. Free admission. Call 240-3310 for more information. Museum Hours: Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
