Judith Wirthlin Parker, 80, a member of the Primary General Board from 1959 to 1974, died May 29, 2000, in Salt Lake City. As a member of the general board, Sister Parker was chairman of the Music Committee that compiled the Primary song book, Sing with Me. She composed five children's songs and wrote two books. She served three missions with her husband, Thomas Oliver Parker: the Temple View Stake Lamanite Ward, special representatives of the Church in Egypt, and as organist and director of concerts for the BYU Jerusalem Center. They also served in Church Hosting for 11 years hosting government officials and visitors from the Middle East.
Sister Parker was an adjunct professor at BYU in Ancient Studies, and a project administrator and faculty member at the American University of Cairo.
