July 1 Temple Square Concert Series: The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band, conducted by Warrant Officer Jay "Mike" Cottam, welcomes the patriotic season in the Tabernacle at 7:30 p.m., with a program of marches, patriotic tunes and fanfares. Free admission.
July 5-14 The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has several openings for men with exceptional vocal and musical skills. Men 25 to 55 years of age, who are active members of the Church, living in the Wasatch Front area, and who have the required skills, should contact the Tabernacle Choir office at (801) 240-4150 from July 5-14.
July 7 Temple Square Concert Series Concerts in the Park: Julio de Azevedo, an award-winning, popular songwriter and performer, will be featured, beginning at 8 p.m. at the Brigham Young Historic Park, at the southeast corner of State Street and 2nd Avenue. Free admission.
Through Feb. 12 Museum of Church History and Art: "And We Lived after the Manner of Happiness: A Children's Exhibit for Families." This exhibit features works of art from the Museum's permanent collection that contain family-oriented messages. Museum Hours: Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free admission.
