New temple president

Doye Gregory Brumfield, 53, Denham Springs Louisiana Stake, has been called as president of the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple, which will be dedicated July 16. President Brumfield's wife, Alicia Marie Whitney Brumfield, will serve as temple matron. President Brumfield, second counselor in the stake presidency, served as bishop, bishop's counselor, high councilor and Primary teacher. He retired from Dow Chemical Co. He was born in Baton Rouge, La., to Willie Jones and Elma Lou Brumfield. Sister Brumfield is a former stake Primary president, seminary teacher, stake family history extraction coordinator and teacher in Relief Society and Sunday School. She was born in Baton Rouge, La., to Willie James and Opal Marguerite Whitney.
