Milestones of togetherness

Theron (Dick) and Lucille Mae Baer Campbell

"The gospel, working hard, enjoying our flower and vegetable gardens, staying close to our children and grandchildren and loving our town of Providence, Utah, have prolonged our years together." — Dick and Lucille Campbell

Married 70 years ago on July 10, 1930, in the Logan Utah Temple. They were in the poultry business for many years and he was president of the Intermountain Farmers Association. He was also superintendant of the Providence Quarry, owned by Amalgamated Sugar Co., and operated by LeGrand Johnson Construction. He enjoys woodworking, reading and gardening and she enjoys canning, cooking, doing handwork, reading, gardening and attending clubs. Both have served in many ward and stake callings, and were ordinance workers in the Logan Utah Temple for eight years. They are members of the Providence 4th Ward, Providence Utah Stake. Parents of five children, they have 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Married 70 years ago on July 18, 1930, in Central, Ariz., and later sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They lived most of their married lives in Central, Ariz., where they farmed. He served in the Navy during World War II. Both worked for Graham County. He worked in the Graham County Sheriff's office and she worked in the county assessor's office. Both have held various callings in the Central Ward, Pima Arizona Stake. He was a home teacher until recently. She still enjoys quilting and he has a hobby of reading. Parents of five children (three living), they have 24 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.<BR CLEAR="ALL"
