100 youth 'come unto Christ'

HOMANTIN, Hong Kong — During a three-day youth conference here July 19-21, more than 100 young men and women learned to come unto Christ by studying scriptures, giving service and living the commandments.

Youth from the Cantonese-speaking wards in Hong Kong participated in many activities during the three-day conference. John and Nancy Hopkins, humanitarian service missionaries, gave a presentation on humanitarian service in the Church's Asia Area. The youth then assembled more than 400 hygiene and sewing kits to be distributed in India and Mongolia. They also attended workshops on the scriptures and the Atonement.

Elder Cree-L Kofford of the Seventy, with his wife, Ila, and Elder Richard E. Cook of the Seventy, with his wife, Mary, addressed the youth during the conference. Elder and Sister Kofford talked about sexual purity and morality. Elder and Sister Cook spoke on integrity and honesty.
