On the bright side

Our son, Christian, loves to be "Mr. Social" and talks to everyone. Once, when he was 3 years old, he and I were grocery shopping. As usual, Christian was saying, "Hi," and chatting with everyone that passed our cart. While we were waiting at the checkout stand an elderly man came up to Christian and handed him a little stuffed animal. He said, "I get so lonely, and you are the only one who has talked to me today. I just bought this for you. Thanks for being such a loving little fellow." Christian gave the man a big hug and said, "Thanks, Grandpa." — Roma Goldhart, St. George, Utah
