Oregon stake hosts county agencies

LEBANON, Ore. — Members of the Lebanon Oregon Stake culminated yearlong service projects Sept. 23 by hosting three county agencies that were recipients of those projects.

After providing a dinner, the stake presented 90 cloth-covered photo albums to Linn County Services for Families and Children. The albums will be given to children who are being adopted through that agency during the next year. The second project was the donation of 100 quilts to the Albany ABC House, which stands for "All About Children." The quilts go to children who are victims of abuse. They keep the quilts and take them with them when they move on. The last project included dozens of stuffed animals being collected to present to two different police departments that use the toys to comfort traumatized children.

After the presentation, the agency officials were invited into the meetinghouse chapel for the broadcast of the General Relief Society Meeting.
