Collecting 91 units of blood

BURLEY, Idaho — Relief Society members of the Burley Idaho West Stake participated in a blood drive Sept. 23, collectively giving 91 units of blood to the American Red Cross. Fifty-two of those units were from first-time donors.

Natalie Gochnour, a Laurel in the Star 1st Ward, coordinated the service project as her Laurel project, which requires 20 hours of service. She coordinated the donor times, made arrangements for the set-up and take-down of the Red Cross equipment and baked 30 dozen cookies for the event. She was also instrumental in getting several students from her school to donate blood.
