The First Presidency has announced the open house and dedication dates for the Recife Brazil, Porto Alegre and Montevideo Uruguay temples, the final three temples to be dedicated this year.
The three South American temples will be the 33rd, 34th and 35th temples dedicated this year, and will bring the total number of operating temples to 103.
The Recife Brazil Temple will open it doors to the public Nov. 11 through Dec. 2, 2000, except Sundays Nov. 12, Nov. 19, and Nov. 26. The temple will be dedicated Dec. 14-15, 2000, in six sessions. The temple will open for ordinance work on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000.
The Porto Alegre Brazil Temple will open its doors Dec. 2-9, 2000, except Sunday, Dec. 3. It will be dedicated in six sessions Dec. 16-17, 2000. The temple will open for ordinance work on Monday, Dec. 18.
The Montevideo Uruguay Temple will open its doors to the public Dec. 2-9, except Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000. The temple will be dedicated in four sessions on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, and open for ordinance work on Monday, Dec. 18, 2000.
These dedications will bring Brazil to a total of three temples, and provide Uruguay with its first temple. At that time, South America will have 10 temples, six of them added this year.
