Eight new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. Here are their names and biographical information.
Aledir Paganelli and Christine Barbour
Aledir Paganelli Barbour, 64, Sao Paulo Brazil Raposo Tavares Stake; professor at University of Sao Paulo; received bachelor's degree in geology from University of Sao Paulo; born in Pereira Barreto-Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Alfredo and Annita Paganelli Barbour. Married Christine Agnes Hedwig Rieger; four children. She was born in Fallingbostel, Lunnebourgheidi, Germany, to Friedrich Johann Franz and Ruth Hedwig Kulik Rieger.
Martina and Nicolas Luis Di Giovanni
Nicolas Luis Di Giovanni, 42, Caseros 1st, Buenos Aires Argentina West Stake; professor of geography; received bachelor's degree in marketing, graduate studies in business administration from UNSAM; born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Cosme and Lubrano Santina Di Giovanni. Married Martina Graciana Garcia; two children. She attended the University of Buenos Aires and graduated from the Superior Institute of Teacher Training with a degree in teaching; born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Angel and Ricon Placer Tomasa Garcia.
Ronald John and Crysandra Hammond
Ronald John Hammond, 45, Montpelier 5th Ward, Montpelier Idaho Stake; dentist; received bachelor's degree from Utah State University and DDS from University of Washington; born in Murray, Utah, to Monte Gene and Loe Ione Gordon Hammond. Married Crysandra Dee Baxter; six children. She received a bachelor's degree in special education from Utah State University; born in LaGrande, Ore., to Alton DeGraw and Marian Lois Westenskow Baxter.
Betty Jeanne and Glenn A. Hansen
Glenn A. Hansen, 61, Schaumburg 1st Ward, Schaumburg Illinois Stake; orthodontist; received bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and DDS degree from Chicago College of Dental Surgery and post-graduate studies at Loyola Graduate School; born in Springville, Utah, to Joseph Glenn and Margaret Faye Thomas Hansen. Carma and Gene Raymond Mangum
Gene Raymond Mangum, 65, Springville 1st Ward, Springville Utah Stake; retired area field executive for State Farm Insurance; received degree in business management from Brigham Young University; born in Ballard, Utah, to Lorin Robert and Genevieve Manwaring Mangum. Stephen Mark and Bonnie Studdert
Stephen Mark Studdert, 52, Highland 7th Ward, Highland Utah East Stake; president of Studdert Co., former Assistant to the U.S. President, and served on White House staff for three U.S. Presidents, board member of Federal Home Loan Bank, chairman of This Is the Place Foundation, executive committee of Utah National Parks Boy Scout Council; received bachelor's degree in public administration from Brigham Young University; born in Petaluma, Calif., to Harry Graham and June Lewis Studdert.
