JOHANNESBURG, South Africa During an auxiliary training trip through Southeast and West Africa, Young Women Gen. Pres. Margaret D. Nadauld and Primary Gen. Pres. Coleen K. Menlove spoke at a youth fireside May 20 for the six stakes in and around this city.
Sister Nadauld began her talk with a short video clip on the youth of the Church in all nations. She said they belonged to a worldwide Church headed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sister Menlove wondered if those present questioned why the general president of the Primary would speak at a youth fireside. She said that it was fitting in that we all have attended or have a connection with Primary and there learned the basics of the gospel.
Presiding over the fireside was Elder Ray H. Wood of the Seventy, president of the Africa Southeast Area. "This generation is a generation of pioneers in the Church," he said. "You are pioneers of your generation, and we become the founders of generations unborn."
