HYDE PARK, England — Nearly 150 members of the international Hyde Park Ward, London England Stake, recently participated in a day at the London England Temple under the direction of Bishop Corey Chivers.

Members were transported by four buses, including a smaller bus for disabled members.

"It was the most important thing I have done in my life," said one member.

In addition, Primary leaders also joined the effort and cared for children while their parents were in the temple. They also gave the children a lesson on what is required to enter the temple. Later, the children enjoyed sack lunches.

The ward began planning for a temple day in January by holding temple preparation classes, celestial marriage classes and encouraging members to spend time at the family history center.

Because Hyde Park Ward is an international ward, it was difficult for some of the members, who hail from 50 countries, to find information. Among those who submitted family names for temple work were members from Bulgaria, Jamaica, South Africa, Nigeria, Brazil, the British Isles and the United States. Senior missionaries serving at the local family history center helped in the research.
