Two-thirds of stake prepared

EAGER, Ariz. — Following a six-month emphasis by the stake presidency, nearly two-thirds of the members of the Eagar Arizona Stake have become prepared with a year's supply of food.

"Since Dec. 28th, 10 semi trucks have come to Eagar and distributed wheat, beans, olive oil, and salt to members and non-members alike," said Mike Stroud, who was called with his wife, Virginia, as stake preparedness directors. "There are now close to half a million pounds of wheat alone in our community that wasn't there last December."

Brother Stroud, who has 20 years experience with food storage, said the stake set several goals and began to achieve each one step by step.
