Gertrude Ryberg Garff, 91, former member of the Relief Society general presidency, died Oct. 20, 2002, in Salt Lake City. Sister Garff served as second counselor to Relief Society General President Belle Spafford from 1945-1947. She was also a former member of the Relief Society general board and served with her husband, Mark Brimhall Garff, when he presided over the Danish Mission from 1937-1939.
Ray Loveless, 80, sound engineer with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 27 years, died Oct. 19, 2002, in Salt Lake City. Brother Loveless traveled throughout the world setting up sound and language translation services for area conferences for the Church in his work with Bonneville International.
