New mission presidents

Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:

Cammon Irby Arrington, 63, Farmington 1st Ward, Farmington Utah Stake; Sunday School teacher; former stake president and counselor, member of Melchizedek Priesthood writing committee, bishop, high councilor and missionary. Service director for University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Irby Neront and Faith Louise Arrington. Married Jan Wolthuis, five children.

A Primary pianist, she is a former Relief Society president and teacher, Sunday School teacher, Young Women president and counselor. Attorney for State of Utah. Born in Brigham City, Utah, to Barteld and Ellen Wolthuis.

Richard Theodore Bretzing, 64, Mueller Park 8th Ward, Bountiful Utah Mueller Park Stake; Sunday School teacher; former single adult adviser, high priests group leader, high councilor, counselor in stake presidency and bishop. Managing director of Church security. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Karl Theodore and Afton Iona Smith Bretzing. Married Sharon Diane Johnson, seven children.

A member of the stake Relief Society board and temple ordinance worker, she is a former single adult adviser, Young Women president, counselor in Relief Society presidency, Primary president and teacher in the Relief Society. Born in Phoenix, Ariz., to Abia Ensign and Jessie Irene Tannehill Johnson.

Attorney. Born in Helena, Ark., to Laurie Moreland and Mary Baker Craig. Married Pamela Kay Redd, six children.

A stake Relief Society president, she is a former stake Primary music director, counselor in Primary presidency, nursery leader, choir director, Young Women president and Relief Society president. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Kay Bryner and Velma Esther Nalder Redd.

Jeffrey Pollard Johnson, 55, Crescent 14th Ward, Sandy Utah Crescent South Stake; stake president; former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishopric, Sunday School teacher, Scoutmaster and Aaronic Priesthood adviser. Manager of translation for the Church. Born in Brigham City, Utah, to Clinton Miles and Beverly Jean Pollard Johnson. Married Peggy Davis, six children.

A counselor in the ward Primary presidency, she is a former music chairman, organist, Relief Society teacher, counselor in the Young Women and Relief Society presidencies and Primary teacher. Self-employed dance instructor and owner. Born in Gooding, Idaho, to William Roy and Katherine Johnsen Davis.

Financial investment adviser. Born in Winslow, Ariz., to Albert June and Sue Kim Wong Ong. Married Wai-Mui Amelia Yeung, four children.
