Primary display marks anniversary

SPANISH FORK, Utah — After watching the satellite broadcast marking the 125th anniversary of Primary on Feb. 8, some 300 children, parents and Primary leaders of the Spanish Fork Utah Canyon View Stake gathered in the cultural hall of the stake center for displays on the Primary organization.

"We had nine different displays focusing on Primary," said Heidi M. Whittaker, first counselor in the stake Primary presidency. "Since this was a celebration of 125 years, we wanted to show parents and children what Primary was all about."

The displays included information on Cub Scouts, achievement days, the history of Primary, the gospel in action, Sunday Primary and activity days. Sister Whittaker said stake Primary leaders were pleased with the attendance that day. "We had done a lot of advertising and given the children personal invitations. We knew this was going to be special," she said.
