'Crime fighting mom' receives honor

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Robin Trumbull, a member of the Marshall Branch, Kalamazoo Michigan Stake, has been honored as a "Crime Fighting Mom in Michigan." Lauded for her efforts to promote in the state the AMBER Alert, a system to notify the public of missing children in the critical early hours of the disappearance, her efforts have resulted in a cooperative effort between the Michigan Sheriff's Association, Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, Michigan State Police, and Michigan Broadcaster's Association. She was also the featured speaker at the May 2003 Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee Conference.
