Family promoter meets president

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Because of her efforts in organizing Family Week, an annual event in Blue Springs, Mo., and because she has written a regular column on families for a local newspaper, Diane Mack of the Blue Springs 1st Ward was one of five people selected to greet U.S. President George W. Bush when he came to Kansas City on Sept. 8. Sister Mack was selected by the office of U.S. Sen. Christopher "Kit" Bond of Missouri. Sister Mack and her work have been featured twice in the Church News, most recently on Feb. 8 of this year.
