New temple presidents

Nivaldo Bentim, 67, Bauru Ward, Bauru Brazil Stake; called as president of the Recife Brazil Temple; succeeding President Joseph M. Heath. President Bentim's wife, Clery Pereira Bentim, will serve as temple matron. President Bentim is a former temple president's counselor, mission president, patriarch, bishop and bishop's counselor. He was born in Sao Carlos, Brazil, to Accacio and Leonor B.V. Bentim.

Sister Bentim, who served with her husband while he was a mission president, is a former assistant to the matron and Relief Society president. She was born in Rio Claro, Brazil, to Ernestino and Dinorah Pacheco Pereira.

Makoto Fukuda, 67, Tokorazawa Ward, Musashino Japan Stake; called as president of the Tokyo Japan Temple; succeeding President Kiyoshi Sakai. President Fukuda's wife, Yasuko Fukuda, will serve as temple matron. President Fukuda is a former mission president, stake president, bishop and elders quorum president. He was born in Sendai, Japan, to Einosuke and Kei Matsubara Fukuoka.

Sister Fukuda is a former stake and ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, to Sheji Numano and Hisako Ishii.
