Refugees have fresh water

BUDUBURAM, Ghana — Refugees in the Buduburam (Ghana) Liberian Refugee Camp — where some 75,000 live — now have more fresh water thanks to LDS Charities, the humanitarian arm of the Church. In a gathering Sept. 11, Samuel S. Nepay, president of the Buduburam Branch, presented the camp with two new boreholes, used for drinking and cooking water.

"Today's presentation from the Church and LDS Charities is because of our love for Jesus Christ," said President Anthony S. Nimbey, first counselor in the branch presidency. "The gospel makes us unselfish and willing to be generous to the poor and the needy."
