New mission presidents

Three new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Assignments for all mission presidents were announced in the March 6, 2004, Church News. The new leaders and their wives are:

Keith Birch Caldwell Jr., 52; Ecuador Guayaquil South Mission; Glines 4th Ward, Vernal Utah Glines Stake; bishop; former counselor in a stake presidency, stake executive secretary, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Andes Peru Mission. President, owner and manager of Newsprint Inc. Born in Santa Barbara, Calif., to Keith Birch and Lila Alice Collier Caldwell. Married Rahnena Massey, six children.

She is a former counselor in stake Relief Society presidencies, stake Young Women camp director, ward Young Women and Primary president and counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency. Born in Monterrey, Calif., to Valda Dez and Donna Moon Massey.

Robert Christopher Gay, 52; Ghana Accra Mission; Newtown Ward, Yorktown New York Stake; former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, high priests group leader, ward mission leader and missionary in the Spain Mission. Managing director of Bain Capital. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Frank William and Mary Elizabeth Thain Gay. Married Lynette Nielsen, seven children.

A member of a stake Relief Society board, she is a former ward Primary president, Relief Society and Primary teacher and seminary teacher. Born in Provo, Utah, to Harold B. and Gloria Rae Stark Nielsen.

Siaosi Etika Moleni, 59; Tonga Nuku'alofa Mission; Vaini 2nd Ward, Nuku'alofa Tonga Vaini Stake; stake president; former counselor in a stake presidency, stake executive secretary, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Gilbert Islands. Farmer. Born in Nuku'alofa, Tonga, to Alipate Measii and Ana Tekiata Langi Moleni. Married Mele Fetutuki Hu'akau, nine children.

A Primary teacher, she is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, Relief Society teacher and Sunday School teacher. Born in Tonga, to Viliami Suaesi and Penina Lasini Lousialekava Hu'akau.
