50 comfort bags for children

ARCADIA, Fla. — After being foster parents for some 279 children during their marriage, Carol and Jim Alpin of the Arcadia Branch, Lakeland Florida Stake, suggested that for a service project the branch Relief Society make comfort bags for children who are taken into custody by social services.

As a result, the Relief Society sisters and their friends in the community furnished fabric for and made 50 bags, donating personal items to help fill the bags. The bags are donated to the agency that handles child placements for DeSoto County.
