100-year celebration

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Residents of Kennewick celebrated their town's 100th year with a historical musical written by local Church member Lola Scalley Yale. The musical, presented in May, included a cast of 547 who spoke, sang and danced the history of the area, which began in 1805 with the arrival of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Playing the role of Sacajawea was Amber Griffiths, a young adult Church member who is also an Native American of the Colville Tribe.
