SkillsUSA VICA champion

ROSEBURG, Ore. — Rose Wieland, 17, of the Newton Creek Ward, Roseburg Oregon Stake, recently became the first female to win the SkillsUSA VICA Championships. The young woman competed against 47 other high school students from throughout the country during the technical drafting competition held in June in Kansas City, Mo. According to a USA Today article, to win, Rose had to answer 100 drafting questions, complete a drafting project using the computer program AutoCAD and define success to a panel of judges.
