Family history attracts BBC

YORK, England — A family history exhibition Nov. 25-27, sponsored by the York 1st and 2nd wards, York England Stake, attracted nearly 500 people. Also, the British Broadcasting Company sent its IT truck to the exhibition, where it made a live broadcast. In the broadcast, Bishop Roy Tunnicliffe of the York 2nd Ward was interviewed.

The Lord Mayor of the City of York, Councilor Janet Looker, the Sheriff of York and other civic leaders attended a civic reception at the chapel, and the Lord Mayor was presented with a book of her genealogy and a framed family tree by President D. Clark Thiriot of the York stake, said Yvonne Fisher of the York England Stake public affairs.
