Helping children in Eastern Europe

BIRCHENCLIFFE, England — Members of the Church here joined forces with other residents to fill 94 shoeboxes with goods to be transported to needy children in Eastern Europe in time for Christmas. The project was part of Operation Christmas Child, organized by the charity Samaritan's Purse, according to The Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

Church member Lisa Taylor said, "Children, parents and grannies alike had great fun filling the boxes and some commented on how it had helped them to feel the true spirit of Christmas."
