Primary children reach out

REDMOND, Ore. — More than 150 Primary children, their leaders and families of the Redmond Oregon Stake gathered Nov. 6 at the local McDonald's Restaurant here to present a check in the amount of $4,616.40 to representatives of the Ronald McDonald House of Bend, Ore. Since last spring, the children worked to earn money that they donated to the Ronald McDonald House, a place for families to stay while their children are in the hospital. The local media featured the story during evening news broadcasts.

"The Primary children learned a valuable lesson of service and sacrifice over the past six months as they participated in this special project of children helping other children and their families in their time of need," said stake Primary president Jeanie Talbot.
