Donating supplies in school, hospital

ACCRA, Ghana — Sister Carolyn McMullin, wife of Bishop Keith McMullin of the Presiding Bishopric, brought smiles to the faces of students here in Accra, Ghana, on Feb. 22. At a compound of seven schools and 2,000 students, she presented 168 boxes of educational books and supplies donated by LDS Charities. Bishop Titus Togoe of the North Ridge Ward presided over the presentation. Students sang many songs of praise and thanksgiving to God during the program.

Handing samples of the books to student Nora Akua Hai-Hialolo, Sister McMullin said, "I was a teacher earlier in my life and I know how much books are needed. Please enjoy and learn all that you can." She then presented all of the boxes to Philip Dibade, circuit supervisor over the school compound.

Sister McMullin, who was in Ghana with her husband for stake conferences, also visited a local hospital where medical equipment and 180 boxes of medical supplies, newborn kits, and hygiene kits were donated.
