New chairman of PCC board

LAIE, Hawaii — Business executive and educator Mark Willes has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors of the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii. He succeeds former chairman, Ted Jacobsen, who leaves the center after serving as its chairman for nearly nine years and as a director since 1993. Brother Jacobsen has been called as president of the England Manchester Mission.

Brother Willes has served on the board since 1996 and brings broad, successful experience in business, finance and education to the Polynesian Cultural Center.

"We are grateful for Ted Jacobsen's leadership and his devoted service to the Polynesian Cultural Center," said Polynesian Cultural Center President Von D. Orgill. "His contributions have been crucial to our success during the challenging and the good times.
