Shelter gets 2,000 pounds of food

ST. GEORGE, Utah — The Dixie Care and Share Shelter, a local shelter and food bank, increased its supplies by more than 2,000 pounds as a result of a food drive conducted by members of the Green Valley 1st Ward, St. George Utah Green Valley Stake. The two-day food drive, held last month, was organized by the high priests group, with publicity coming from the Young Women and Relief Society.

The Dixie Care and Share Shelter, a charitable, non-profit foundation, feeds up to 50 people per day and provides professional counseling in life skills and help in finding employment.
