Sold-out performances

TURLOCK, Calif. — Nearly 1,000 members from five stakes in north-central California performed in the Church musical "Savior of the World" for eight sold-out performances during the Easter season. It was staged at the historic, 1,000-seat Turlock Community Auditorium.

Eight hundred youth from the Merced, Turlock, Modesto, Modesto North and Manteca stakes were divided into three choirs to sing from the set's balcony during the performance. They were joined by 90 actors on the stage.

Six performances were planned originally, but two more were added due to heavy demand for tickets. "The Savior of the World" portrays the birth and atonement of the Savior.
