The Orchestra at Temple Square, conducted by Igor Gruppman, will perform an "Orchestral Salute to the Tabernacle," on Friday, Aug. 10, and Saturday, Aug. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle. The concert will conclude the Tabernacle Concert Series Gala commemorating the recently completed renovation of the Tabernacle.
The concert program will include Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite, no. 1; Grieg's Piano Concerto, with Jorge Luis Prats, pianist; and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony
This will be the first concert in nearly three years that the Orchestra has performed by itself on the Tabernacle stage.

Tickets are required for this free event. Those with tickets should be in their seats by 7:15 p.m. Standby seating is encouraged and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The standby line forms at the flagpole located in the center of Temple Square.
