Stake thanks city leader

SANTA CLARITA, CALIF.

Information on his family history as far back as seven generations was presented to Santa Clarita City Manager Ken Pulskamp at the city hall Wednesday, Jan. 16.

"Bonnie Petrovich, the family history center director in our area, has been working on Ken's genealogy for more than six months," Santa Clarita California Stake President Brian Sheffield said. "It was given as a 'thank you' from our Church members for his efforts on behalf of the local citizens and it was exciting to see his reaction to this unique gift."

Mr. Pulskamp expressed his gratitude for all the effort that went into doing the research.

"I can't wait to share this with my family, to show them the newly discovered names of ancestors and copies of census records that they signed," he said. "There's even a picture of the ship that our early ancestors traveled on when they came to America."

When the history was presented, Mayor Bob Kellar was there for the occasion and spoke of the family research that the LDS Church did for him in 2001.

"My research is fascinating — the best gift I could receive," he said. "I have made copies for family members and we have all enjoyed it very much."
