Youth serve on civil rights day

Some 230 youth from the Roswell Georgia Stake used the fourth day of their four-day youth conference as a day of service. Gathering on Jan. 21, Martin Luther King Day, the youth spent time at three schools — Roswell North Elementary School, Mimosa Elementary School, and Ester Jackson Elementary School — to paint yellow stripes and fire markings, do landscaping, and put together picnic tables. The youth collected $2,000 worth of supplies for the project from the local Home Depot. The youth also served at a home for needy babies.

This is the second year the youth here have held a youth conference in January and held a day of service on Martin Luther King Day.
