New mission presidents

Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

Juan Gabriel Cárdenas Tamayo, 44, and Sonia Alvarado González, two children, Mexico Tuxtla Gutierrez Mission; Universidad Ward, Coatzacoalcos Mexico Puerto Stake. Brother Cárdenas serves as counselor in the Mexico Villahermosa Mission and is a former counselor in the Mexico Veracruz Mission, regional director, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and missionary in the Mexico Tuxtla Gutierrez Mission. Sales executive, Ford Motor Company dealer. Born in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, to Antonio Cárdenas Salas and Haydee Tamayo Martínez.

Sister Cárdenas serves as a companion to her husband in the Mexico Villahermosa Mission and is a former regional director, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, stake and ward Young Women president, Primary president and seminary teacher. Born in Oaxaca, Mexico, to Jorge Alvarado Soto and Marlene González Aquino.

Armando Carreón Rivera, 42, and María Mónica Romero Rosas, four children, Mexico Tijuana Mission; Terranova Ward, Merida Mexico Chuburna Stake. Brother Carreón serves as stake president and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric and missionary in the Mexico Monterrey Mission. Regional coordinator of seminaries and institutes. Born in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, to Julio Carreón Díaz and Ruth Rivera Silva.

Sister Carreón serves as a ward family history consultant and is a former Young Women president, Relief Society president and counselor, Primary president, institute instructor, seminary teacher and missionary in the Mexico Monterrey Mission. Born in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, to Rafael Romero Carrillo and Maria del Carmen Rosas Serrano.

David Flores Villaseñor, 44, and Claudia Vázquez Martínez, four children, Mexico Torreon Mission; Gaviotas Ward, Coatzacoalcos Mexico Puerto Stake. Brother Flores serves as stake president and is a former counselor in the Mexico Veracruz Mission, stake Young Men president, bishop, counselor in a bishopric and missionary in the Mexico Torreon Mission. Regional coordinator of seminaries and institutes. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, to Ricardo Flores Corral and Alicia Villaseñor Villalón.

Sister Flores serves as a visiting teaching supervisor and is a former stake Young Women president, Sunday School teacher, Relief Society teacher, Primary teacher, seminary teacher and missionary in the Mexico Veracruz Mission. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, to José Antonio Vásquez Romero and Enriqueta Martínez Chávez.

Raymundo Morales Barrera, 56, and Isabel Alejandro Hernández, five children, Mexico Mexico City Southeast Mission; Cañales Ward, Cárdenas Mexico Stake. Brother Morales serves as an Area Seventy in the Mexico Area and is a former stake president, branch president and counselor in a bishopric. Retired sales representative, Nature's Labs. Born in Paraiso, Tabasco, Mexico, to Raymundo Morales Pérez and Isabel Barrera Jiménez.

Enrique Leyva Jiménez, 47, and Nelly María Rodríguez Orrostieta, three children, Mexico Oaxaca Mission; Chihuahua Ward, Chihuahua Mexico Stake. Brother Leyva serves as stake Sunday School president and is a former stake president, stake executive secretary, stake Young Men president, bishop, counselor in a ward Young Men presidency and missionary in the Mexico Merida Mission. Regional coordinator of seminaries and institutes. Born in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, to Policarpo Leyva González and Milburga Jiménez Carachuri.

Carlos Walter Treviño Almaguer, 47, and Esther Torres Saunders, three children, Mexico Veracruz Mission; Campestre Ward, Monterrey Mexico Roma Stake. Brother Treviño serves as counselor in a stake presidency and is a former multi-stake public affairs director, area auditor trainer, stake executive secretary, branch president, counselor in a bishopric and missionary in the Mexico Merida Mission. Karl Michael Tilleman, 50, and Holly Benson Walker Tilleman, five children, Canada Vancouver Mission; Mountain Park Ward, Tempe Arizona West Stake.
