Life of a Century: The 20th-Century Adventures of Centenarian Lorna Call Alder (1906-)
Lecture given by: Barbara Jones Brown
Born in 1906, Lorna Call Alder grew up on a farm in the Mexican colonies. She remembers being visited by Mexican rebels, having General John J. Pershing for Thanksgiving dinner, and having to take over the raising of her 12 brothers and sisters. She spent over 30 years as a professor in BYU’s education department, and she still keeps as active as possible today.
To accommodate popular interest, lectures will be held in the main floor auditorium of the Church Office Building at 50 East North Temple Street. All lectures are on the second Thursday of the month and begin at 7:00 p.m.
