Mormon History Association convenes

The Mormon History Association, an independent group dedicated to all aspects of Mormon history, held its 48th annual conference June 6-9 in Layton, Utah, a community north of Salt Lake City with a rich legacy of colonization by Mormon pioneers.

In addition to touring Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake and early Mormon homes in nearby Farmington and Kaysville, attendees heard from scores of scholars from disparate backgrounds who delivered presentations at the Davis Conference Center in Layton.

The association is not affiliated with the Church but includes substantial participation from staff of the Church History Department and BYU faculty.
