Mexico City Mexico Temple
A free public open house for the Mexico City Mexico Temple will begin on Friday, Aug. 14, and go through Saturday, Sept. 5, and run every day except the Sundays of Aug. 16, 23 and 30. A celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, and the temple will be rededicated Sunday, Sept. 13, in three sessions. The rededication services will be broadcast at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to meetinghouses in all stakes and districts in the Mexico City Mexico Temple district. The three-hour block of meetings on Sept. 13 will be canceled so that Latter-day Saints can participate in the sessions. There are more than 1 million Latter-day Saints in Mexico. For a quarter of them — those who live in Mexico City and the states of Mexico, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Morelos, Baja California Sur, Michoacán, Hidalgo, Puebla, Queretaro and San Luis Potosí — it is the nearest temple.
