New visitors' center directors

Two new visitors’ center directors and one Church History center director and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service early next year.

George Earl Peterson, 66, and Kathryn Marjorie Allen Peterson, five children, Higley Manor Ward, Gilbert Arizona Williams Field Stake: Independence (Missouri) Visitors’ Center, succeeding Elder John M. Toronto and Sister Carolyn P. Toronto. Brother Peterson is a former president of the Philippines San Pablo Mission, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, and missionary in the Philippines Mission. Self-employed farmer. Born in Mesa, Arizona, to Grant Eugene Peterson and Marie Felshaw Peterson.

Sister Peterson served with her husband in the Philippines San Pablo Mission and is a former ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president, and temple ordinance worker. Born in Mesa, Arizona, to Wayne Holt Allen and Melba Peterson Allen.

Randy Calvin Russell, 65, and Charlotte Jeannette Gutke Russell, nine children, Burton 2nd Ward, Rexburg Idaho Stake: Mormon Trail Center at Historic Winter Quarters (Nebraska), succeeding Elder N. Jay Crandall and Sister Elizabeth Crandall. Brother and Sister Russell recently returned from serving as a senior missionary couple. Brother Russell is a former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop, and missionary in the Northern States Mission. Retired from Seminaries and Institutes. Born in Ogden, Utah, to James Calvin Russell and Margaret Shirley Carver Russell.

Sister Russell is a former stake Relief Society president, stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, and Primary music leader. Born in Salt Lake City to Milan Trevar Gutke and Lavinnia Jeannette Burns Gutke.

Lynn Lee Summerhays, 68, and Ann Frischknecht Summerhays, seven children, Canyon View Ward, Farmington Utah North Stake: Matthew Cowley Pacific Church History Centre. Brother Summerhays is a former Area Seventy, president of the Florida Tallahassee Mission, high councilor, bishop, elders quorum president, member of the Young Men general board, and missionary in the New Zealand Mission. Retired partner, The Boyer Company. Born in Salt Lake City to Preston Lindsay Summerhays and Cleo Margaret Patton Summerhays.

Sister Summerhays previously served with her husband in the Florida Tallahassee Mission and is a former counselor in stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, Relief Society instructor and Young Women adviser. Born in Salt Lake City to Reed Lund Frischknecht and Cleone Rich Frischknecht.
