Playhouse plans show for conference-goers

For one night only, on Friday, Oct. 5, Promised Valley Playhouse will feature the BYU Young Ambassadors in a special "Tribute to the American Music Makers."

Especially presented as entertainment for general conference visitors but also open to the public, the show is a tribute to the composers of the 20th Century.Included is a glimpse into the swing era and the days prior to World War II, with tunes such as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas," as well as excerpts from "West Side Story" and selections from Nashville music.

Curtain time for the show, under the direction of Janielle Christensen, is 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale at the playhouse box office, 132 S. State, on Oct. 1.
