Top correspondent

Lee Davidson, Washington Bureau Chief for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah, was recently named the nation's top Washington correspondent for a regional newspaper by the National Press Club. He was winner of the first Robin Goldstein Award, an annual $1,000 prize presented to reporters who are uncelebrated in Washington, but counted on by people in their hometowns to explain how Washington affects their lives in ways the national media can't. Davidson, a member of the Seneca Ward, Seneca Maryland Stake, has been at the Washington bureau since 1988. He was honored for his work of excellence, diversity of subject and style, and the commitment to substantive reporting. Places nationally
