The final resting place of Joseph and Hyrum Smith and other family members, on the banks of the Mississippi River, has been landscaped and is now gardenlike. The cemetery is near the Smith Family Homestead in Nauvoo, Ill.
Taking part in the dedicatory services for the cemetery held Aug. 4, were Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Council of the Twelve, a descendant of Hyrum Smith, and his distant cousin, Pres. Wallace B. Smith, president of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a descendant of Joseph Smith Jr. The story is on page 3.
