Married in Inglewood, Calif., on July 21, 1926, and sealed a month later in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Southern California for 62 years where he was a plastering contractor. He served as bishop twice, stake president's counselor and was director of the visitors center at Carthage Jail, Ill., while he and his wife served a full-time mission there. She worked in Young Women, and has spent many years doing family history and temple work. Members of the Mountain Home (Ark.) Ward, Springfield Missouri South Stake. Parents of two children, they have nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Victor and Thelma Waddoups

Married July 28, 1926, in the Logan Temple. They lived in Lewiston, Utah, where he operated a service station. They later added a clothing store and a grocery store to their businesses. After retiring in 1947, they moved to Logan, Utah, where they were employed by Utah State University. He served as stake mission president, twice as bishop and as patriarch. She filled teaching and leadership positions in the Primary, Junior Sunday School, YWMIA and Relief Society. They filled full-time missions to Canada and to the New Zealand Temple. Parents of two daughters, they have 10 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Clair and Helen Myers Gillins

"It is important to agree. We've had very few quarrels in our 70 years of marriage. We worked together and it just worked out."

Married 70 years ago on Aug. 6, 1926, in Beaver, Utah, and later sealed in the St. George Temple. They worked for Union Pacific for a short time, and then operated a dairy farm. After retiring, they became meetinghouse custodians until age 70. He served as high priests group leader, elders quorum president, and as stake missionary with his wife. She served as ward and stake Primary and Relief Society president, and ward organist. Members of the Milford 2nd Ward, Beaver Utah Stake. Parents of three children, they have nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
