Primary children to share love through spoken word, song

In the coming weeks, Primary children throughout the Church will be sharing with ward members what seems to come naturally to these little ones – their love.

Through the 1996 Children's Sacrament Meeting Presentation – based on the theme, "As I have loved you, . . . love one another" from John 13:34 – Primary children will share through song and the spoken word the lessons they have learned this year. Some wards will hold their sacrament meeting presentations in September, others in October. The presentation will include such Primary songs as "My Heavenly Father Loves me," "Have I Done Any Good?" and "Love One Another." In addition, the children will speak on such themes as "I feel Heavenly Father's love when I understand what He has done for me," "I feel Jesus Christ's love when I understand what He has done for me," "I show my love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when I am kind to others in my thoughts, words, and actions," and "I show my love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and I will be happy, when I choose to live the gospel each day of my life."

As in years past, the Primary general presidency encourages local leaders to have the children present the program in their own words as much as possible and according to their own experiences.

The Children's Sacrament Meeting Presentation is under the direction of bishops or branch presidents.
