New stake presidencies

Six new stakes, including the second in North Dakota, the third in Fiji and the fifth in New Jersey, have been created. Other new stakes have been formed in Colombia, and in Colorado and Utah.

The Bismarck North Dakota Stake has been created by Elder Hugh W. Pinnock of the Seventy. The new stake includes the Bismarck, Minot 1st, and 2nd and Williston wards, and the Bullhead, Dickinson, Dunseith, Fort Yates, McLaughlin, New Town and Wakpala branches,The Lautoka Fiji Stake, which includes the Ba, Lautoka 1st and 2nd, Nadi and Tavua wards, and the Rakiraki, Sigatoka and Vatutu branches, has been created by Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve.

The North Logan Utah Green Canyon Stake has also been created by Elder Perry. The new stake includes the North Logan 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 10th and 11th wards.

The Medellin Colombia Belen Stake, which includes the Asturias, Belen, Buenos Aires, Envigado and Floresta wards, and the Guayabal and Robledo branches, has been created by Elder Julio E. Davila of the Seventy.

The Parker Colorado Stake, which includes the Castle Rock, Castlewood Canyon, Elizabeth, Parker, Plum Creek Valley and Ponderosa wards, has been created by Elder Earl C. Tingey of the Presidency of the Seventy.

The Scotch Plains New Jersey Stake has been created by Elder Lance B. Wickman of the Seventy. It includes the Elizabeth 1st, Irvington, Newark, Scotch Plains, and Short Hills wards, and the Elizabeth 2nd, Ironbound, Perth Amboy 1st and 2nd, and Plainfield branches.

Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in British Columbia and in Colorado, Nevada and Utah.
